The idea of organizing a game where gladiators fought in the city was likely developed by the Roman Emperor and his close bureaucrats as a solution to the questions of "how to make the people love the emperor more" and "how to keep the people from thinking about certain problems." The people would focus on the game; the emperor would increase his communication with the public through this game, appearing brave at times and compassionate at others, while the number of supporters for the empire among the people would grow. Trade would also thrive in the coliseums where these games were held.
Isn’t it a perfect marketing and advertising process? If this idea had failed in Rome, those who first conveyed it to the emperor would probably have been punished with their lives. Thankfully, we don’t execute advertisers today (at least in some countries! :) )
As a continuation of a tradition that has lasted for thousands of years (once for emperors, today for organizations and individuals), we design experiences and processes using communication and design tools, creating symbols that turn these experiences into value.
As BORN, we clearly express that we are different from everyone who defines themselves as an "agency," "advertiser," or "designer." We follow a different path and design different things. Not being like everyone else may not bring in a lot of money, but we believe in bringing to life ideas that will be immortal, and we value that greatly.
If you think that the reason a unique idea is valuable is that it is powerful enough to change the world, you are mistaken. What makes it valuable is that a good idea, once it comes to life, is consumed irreversibly and moves into infinity without stopping in space.
Remember, a good idea is a unique thing that will never be repeated, and it should not be squandered for everyone.
